SR20DET Bottom End Re-Assembly
The re-assembly of my engine started, of course, with the bottom end. New front and rear main seals were installed and the front cover along with the rear main seal carrier plate were both cleaned and re-installed with a fresh RTV seal. After that, the oil pans were re-installed with a fresh RTV seal as well.
Next, I acquired some ARP head studs and installed them. I figured that I might as well go with the good stuff!
Another upgrade opportunity that I took advantage of was a 2 piece Unorthodox Racing pulley set which included the crank pulley and water pump pulley. I must say that these are very nice pieces. After installing a new OEM water pump, I installed the power steering pump, pullies, and a new accessory belt.
