Intercooler Kit
Here is the front mount intercooler kit that I will be running for this setup. The intercooler core (not including the endtanks) is 18" x 6" x 2.5". The piping size is 2.5" intake pipe, 2" hot side flared at the end to 2.5", and 2.5" cold side pipe (2 pieces). Below are pictures of the piping and intercooler when I first received them.

Here are some pictures of one of the cold side pipes after I welded in the IAT sensor bung. I added it because I am converting to a speed density setup and the IAT runs in conjunction with the MAP sensor. The bung sits about 8"-10" away from the throttle body. I had to first find a piece of hardware to serve as a bung for this sensor. It is a GM IAT and it has pipe threads so a simple trip to Lowes wasn't going to do me much good since I needed something that I could weld to stainless pipe. I took a trip to a local hardware store which has damn near everything you could think of and came away with a 3/8" stainless steel bushing. I don't know why they call it 3/8" because it is more like 1/2", but whatever. 3/8" SS bushing is what you get if you are trying to use the GM IAT.
I took a trip to a friend's house who is a great welder to install the bung. I had to cut about 3/4" off the bushing to get it short enough for the sensor to protrude so the bandsaw took care of that. After that, I used the drill press to bore a 1/2" hole in the pipe and my friend TIG'd the bung on for me. It's going to work out perfectly.

After that was done, I sent the pipes out to be powdercoated to match the valve cover.

And here are the silicone couplers I will be using to complete the setup.
